Recently, the Catawba River was tapped as the most endangered river in the United States.  Gaskins, an environmental attorney, will provide an overview of current threats to the health of the river and its wildlife, specifically the accumulation of methyl mercury in fish and other aquatic organisms. He will also discuss the drought, water use, development and other issues impacting quality of life in the river basin.
