CHIMNEY ROCK: The mixed hardwood forests on the slopes are showing rich colors in yellows, reds and oranges. 

HENDERSONVILLE: Dogwoods, sourwoods and black gums are revealing cascading deep red colors. Jump Off scenic overlook provides a panoramic view of rolling pastures, the Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah mountain ranges.

HALIFAX COUNTY: The leaves are still beautiful and the trees aren’t shedding them quite yet. Enjoy great views along the Roanoke River. Explore Medoc Mountain State Park or the Roanoke Canal Trail to take in the color.
