Berea Baptist Church spread the “Glory of Christmas” with their Singing Christmas Tree concert.

An enormous tree was built and assembled behind the pulpit in the main chapel, and after being decorated with lights and branches, the tree was filled with the church’s Chancel choir members for a performance of Christmas classics.
Choir members’ faces poked through the boughs as they sang well-known hits like “O Holy Night,” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” directed by Kermit Burns.
“You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear, voices singing let’s be jolly, deck the halls with boughs of holly,” sang soloist Betty Callahan, as the audience hummed along and children danced in the aisle.
In front of the tree, actors pretended to hang stockings or dressed up in ’50s garb to sway in front of a jukebox in time with the choreography by Connie Burns.
The audience wasn’t left out of the program, either. During “O Come All Ye Faithful,” patrons could sing along and follow the words in their program.
All in all, Berea Baptist Church left their congregation ready for the upcoming holiday and to spread Christmas cheer.
